Overview
Meitu Inc. is a technology company making selfie apps. Meitu's photo-editing and sharing software for smartphones are popular in China and other Asian countries, attracting 456 million users who post more than 6 billion photos every month.
As of October 31, 2016, Meitu's apps have been activated on over 1.1 billion unique devices worldwide.

BeautyPlus Me is one of Meitu's Product targeting at India Market which allows users created beautiful and natural selfies easily.
Nov 6th-10th our team in Fremont conducted a usability test for BeautyPlusMe (MeiTu.com) a photo-editing app launched in India.
We recruited five 20-40-year-old native Indians for usability interviews. We designed a set of tasks for the usability test. We recorded the subjects’ interaction with the product while they were performing typical tasks, and we indicated certain usability issues.
Cross Culture?

Our team was concern about cross culture design maybe cause such unsuitable and misunderstanding features or interaction on our current product. Because the current product's design trend, interaction, and terminology are based on China market. Meitu's designers are trying to offer the best user experience and fit-to-culture features. However, these features might not be suitable and adapt local market.
Our mission was to test BeautyPlusMe on American Indian users, to located and identify the usability problems and discover any issues that users are perceiving feature that BeautyPlusMe offered.
